I drew this Piano image for the craft fair as well.

This is graphite pencil on poster-board. I will post exact dimensions as soon as possible, but the entire piece is a bit larger than printer paper. This piece has been sealed to prevent the graphite from rubbing off.

I am asking $30 for this piece.

I sculpted this candle as an example for a craft fair. It is all one piece and carved from a standard 9" pillar candle. Pictures are captioned.

I am going to be making a mold of this item, so that I can make it available to as many people as would like it. Options for sculpture material will include concrete, plaster, wax (with or without candle wick), and possibly resin. Price will be determined by choice of material and any coloration desired. This is a drawing I did a few years ago of a couple's engagement picture. I built a simple black frame and it was displayed at their wedding.

I've decided that graduate school takes a lot of my time. I have completed another piece though. The funky black stuff in the bell is a reflection of my arm from the photo.

Example 3: (House: Pencil on Posterboard)

One piece today.
This drawing is the first in a series of drawings I am working on for someone. When completed the series will include an image of each of the homes that the individual grew up in .

The actual image is about 10"x5" and is pencil on posterboard.

Example 2 (Multiple Pieces: Sulpture in Wax)

Three pieces to show you today. Enjoy!

First up two views of a rose-ish type flower sculpted from a white pillar candle.

Next we have a similar piece. This is again a rose type flower carved from a pillar candle. This piece was used as seen here for a unity candle. I did not make the base that it sits on.

I had less than one day start to finish to complete this piece, and I feel that I would have done a cleaner/better job given more time. I am still happy with how it turned out.

Last and probably least important in this post is a piece I did early one morning when I couldn't sleep. It is a simple mug sculpted from pinkish wax leftover from another piece I had done. The mug looks a bit rough, but that's because the entire piece is about 1" square and cut using an Xacto knife.

Example #1 (Photograph Enlargement : Pencil on Poster-Board)

As promised, here is an example of the work I can do (one of hopefully many more to come).

This piece is pencil on poster-board (standard size). The photograph I drew it from can be seen in the lower left corner of the second image.

There was some distortion to the true contrast of the first image when I put it on the computer. The second image is more true to the actual drawing's contrast and shading.

As you can see, I can successfully enlarge even wallet sized photos to much larger sizes accurately. Hopefully now you understand what I meant by "enlarging photographs using pencil" in my previous post. Thank you for looking.

Welcome to my blog. This being my initial post, I figure the best way to start is to explain why I have begun a blog. Unlike many people who use blogs to simple record their daily thoughts or flow of consciousness, I am using this blog as a way to put my artwork into the public eye.

I enjoy many types of art, however my passion is pencil/graphite realism. Specifically I enjoy enlarging photographs using pencil (examples to come soon to better explain what I mean). I also have dabbled in sculpture a bit; in the media of wax, plaster, and wood. In the near future I hope to be posting images of some of my artwork.

Once you have seen my work (or before!) and think you may like to hire me to do a commissioned piece for you please to contact me at custom_artwork@hotmail.com. Also, tell any of your friends you think may be interested in some artwork.

My prices will depend on the medium (type of art), difficulty of the piece, and size of the finished work. I will accept payment via PayPal or Money Order. In all cases I will require 50% of the cost up front (for supplies) and 50% (+ additional shipping costs) prior to shipping the finished product which I will photograph and e-mail to you before sending. If you do not like the finished piece we'll discuss any potential refunds at that time.
